About Marathi

Marathi is an Indo-Aryan language. It is spoken by the Marathi people from most of the part of the region called western India - called Maharashtra. The features of Marathi linguistic culture include Marathi drama (Natak) (Sangget Natak), the regularly arranged discourses called 'Vasant Vyakhyanmala' (Lectures in Spring), The folk dance in Marathi is also famous and popularly known as 'Lavani',
